Design Process.
Artists and artist management will often have a solid idea about how they want their show to look and feel. This can be based on thoughts behind individual songs on their album, their album artwork or on a completely different inspirational source. Pulling different artistic elements together to develop a design is not just about producing a great looking show but understanding artistic concepts.
Given a design brief, Dot Dot will apply expertise and creativity to further develop the concept. This can be with picture boards, related material and other media, all brought together to produce an attractive design proposal.
Within this design, ideas are projected using rendered images and video. We use software that not only enables us to produce accurate technical drawings of shows but also rendered images and videos of lighting and video systems.
The same software allows us to accurately program all visual elements of the show, including lighting, visuals and automation. Dot Dot owns all software and hardware needed to deliver a fully pre-programmed show.
This pre-visualisation process gives us a rolling start on operating and touring a new show and the client a visual representation of their show before rehearsals begin, saving time, labour and cost.
